About Director

Dr. Mukesh Chand Goyal, Professor, Extension Education joined as Director, PM&E, Agriculture University, Kotaon 1st October, 2020.

Dr. Goyal did his B.Sc. (Agri.) & M.Sc. (Agri.) Extension Education from Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner and Ph.D. (Extension Education) from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur.

Dr. Goyal also did Diploma in Rural Development (DRD)  and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM) from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi along with Diploma in Management (DIM) from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota.

Dr. Goyal started his professional career from Cooperative Department of Rajasthan as Cooperative Assistant in Rajasthan Oilseeds Growers Cooperative Federation Limited, “Tilam Sangh”, Kota in July 1992 & served there up to 15th May, 1996. The nature of work was related to management of cooperative agricultural marketing, quality control and agriculture extension activities.

Dr. Goyal joined as Assistant Professor (Extension Education) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kota on 16th May, 1996 and then promoted as Associate Professor on 23rd November, 2009 and as Professor on 1st December, 2012.

Dr. Goyal has made significant contribution in extension education particularly in the field of transfer of agricultural technologies through vocational trainings, front line demonstrations, agriculture information technology, entrepreneurship development & several extension activities up to the grass root level including up scaling of field functionaries.

Dr. Goyal has contributed more than 120 of publications including research papers, books, booklets, technical bulletins, manuals, popular articles & various extension literature. He is having membership of various professional societies & has been awarded by MPUAT Udaipur, AUKota &appreciated by other organizations for his potential  achievements in the field of agriculture.

Dr. Goyal hasalso remarkable achievements in handling two major RKVY projects namely Agriculture Technology Management & Quality Improvement Centre (ATMQIC) & Skill Empowerment of Women in Dairy Cattle Management as PI & Co-PI respectively.
