 Prof. (Dr.) Pratap Singh, joined as  Director Research, Agriculture University, Kota on 26th February, 2016.

Dr. Pratap Singh,  obtained his graduation from the S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner (Raj. Agril.Univ.Bikaner). He did Ph.D.(Agronomy) from Raj. College of Agriculture, Udaipur and also obtained Diploma in Rural Development (1995) from IGNOU, New Delhi.

Prof. Singh started his career as Cooperative Assistant in Tilam Sangh, Kota (Cooperative Dept.) in June 1992 and thereon, in May 1996 joined as an Assistant Professor (Agronomy) in All India Coordinated Research Project on Soybean at ARS, Kota and then promoted as Associate Professor and Professor & Chief Scientist in AICRP on Water Management , ARS, Kota,)
Professor Singh has made significant contribution in recommending various production technologies including herbicides for controlling weeds in different crops especially in soybean and water management technologies (21). He has published more than 90 research papers ,9 technical bulletins, one book chapter and many folders, training compendiums, technical articles and success stories He is member of various professional societies and also been councillor of the Indian society of weed science. Dr. Singh also visited abroad (Chicago, USA) in Aug.1999.
Dr. Singh has handled many privates and other agencies projects like ministry of water resources project “Scaling up of water productivity and various trainings with TSP project of WM and the World Bank RACP project for Kota zone. For his distinguish contribution in Agriculture, Hon’ble minister of the state for Agriculture honoured him in Aug.2011.
