Dr. Subhash Chandra Sharma, Associate Professor, Genetics and Plant Breeding serving as Controller of Examinations and Project Incharge AICRP on Kharif Pulses-(Pigeonpea) in Agriculture University, Kota, Rajasthan. He did his M.Sc. in year 2000 and Ph.D. in 2005 from Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur in the discipline of Genetics and Plant Breeding. He was topper in Ph.D. and got University Merit Scholarship.  He has around 20 years of professional experience in teaching, research and extension. His area of specialization is Genetics and Plant Breeding.

Dr. Sharma started his professional carrier with Research Fellow at RARI, Durgapura, Jaipur. He joined Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat in year 2008. [[Later on, he joined as Associate Professor at Agriculture University, Kota in year 2018 at ARS, Ummedganj, Kota.

He has made remarkable contribution in the area of research on pulses and contributed in the development of different varieties of pulses and technologies. He has vast experience of handling regular ICARS,s (GOI) AICRP projects and state schemes. He has also handled several adhoc research projects as PI/Co-PI funded by different agencies like International Institute ICRISAT, Hyderabad, RKVY and MICT etc. 

He taught more than 20 PG and Ph.D. courses and guided 8 M.Sc. and 3 Ph.D. students as Major Guide.  He has published more than 25 research papers, and large number of book chapter, technical/popular articles, folder, and research abstracts etc.

He also handled several administrative and management responsibilities viz., Scientific Officer to Vice Chancellor, Head, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Assistant Controller of Examinations, Member of Academic Council,

Research Council, Extension Council, Member of Board of Studies in faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture College etc.

He is actively engaged in conducting the examinations of different colleges under the jurisdiction of Agriculture University, Kota (3 Constitute, 9 Government and 4 Private Affiliated) in the faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry as per Academic Calander of Raj Bhawan, Jaipur along with organization of Convocation of Agriculture University, Kota.
