Dr. Harish Verma started his career as an Assistant Professor (Entomology) since 30th May, 1996 in non-plan scheme at ARS, MPUAT, Banswara, Rajasthan. He served there for five years. Thereafter, he got opportunity to get transferred from ARS, Banswara to KVK, Sawai madhopur on February 28th, 2001 as Plant Protection expert. In addition, he worked as Chief Scientist cum Head, KVK, Sawai madhopur from August 30th, 2003 to September 5th, 2005. He developed and refined technology to manage damping off disease in Chilli and Fruit fly in Guava orchard. He served at KVK, Sawai madhopur for 15 years. Subsequently, he got opportunity to get transferred from KVK, Sawai madhopur to KVK Jhalawar on November 22nd, 2016. He completed his three years of service as Professor (Entomology) at KVK, Jhalawar. Meanwhile, he taught B.Sc. horticulture and forestry entomology courses at college of horticulture and forestry, Jhalawar. Thereafter, he joined his duties as Professor & Head at KVK, Bundi since October 5th , 2019.

He accomplished his  M.Sc. Ag (Entomology) from RCA, MPUAT, Udaipur in 1994. He accomplished his Ph.D degree from SKNCOA, Jobner, SKRAU, Bikaner in 2008. He published 111 research papers and popular article in National/International Journals of repute and magazines. In addition, he published 21 booklets, 71 technical bulletins/folders and  reviewed 25 articles. He delivered 75 radio talks/TV talks on numerous topic related to plant protection.

 Dr. Verma published success stories of entrepreneurship in print media, and in electronic media i.e. DD Kisan, Fisrt India & Doordarshan. He handled seed hub project on Pulses & ARYA project as Project Incharge under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, DAC, Government of India.
